Gregory J. Accetta, MAI, AI-GRS, MRA is a Certified General real property appraiser in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts with more than 30 years of commercial appraisal and appraisal review experience. Mr. Accetta holds the Appraisal Institute’s MAI and AI-GRS designations and the MRA designation from the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers (MBREA).
Mr. Accetta is responsible for appraisal reviews, quality assurance, and policy administration at a national bank. He is a former Chair of the Appraisal Standards Board, which is responsible for writing, interpreting, and promulgating the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Mr. Accetta is a former member of the Rhode Island Real Estate Appraisers Board, which is responsible for establishing policy and directing the administration of the State of Rhode Island real estate appraisal licensing and certification program.
Mr. Accetta is a member of the faculty and appraisal education developer for the Appraisal Institute, Risk Management Association, and MBREA. He is a Certified USPAP Instructor. Mr. Accetta is a member of The Appraisal Journal Review Panel. He is the author of several articles published in The Appraisal Journal, Valuation, The RMA Journal, and The Journal of Lending & Credit Risk Management, as well as a contributor to the 14th Edition of The Appraisal of Real Estate published by the Appraisal Institute.
Mr. Accetta is a past president of the MBREA and the Rhode Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
